		<description>I find the key to this pre-sales/post-sales issue is to know whether the information helps someone BUY the product or helps someone USE the product. I have long advocated the use of personas to help achieve this clarity. Instead of &quot;someone might want to know&quot; we ask &quot;does Sally need this or only Cheryl?&quot; 

Remember, we don&#039;t buy and use our product--our customers do. So let&#039;s write documents that help them achieve their goals.
